Did you know that a well hydrated body is made up of at least 60% water? In order to stay hydrated and energized, you need to drink, but not just anything! You should drink lots of water, tea and herbal tea throughout the day. Here are some tips that will push you to drink before you even start to feel thirsty.

Drink A Lot, But What?!

Don’t give in to the temptation of fizzy drinks or coffee when you’re thirsty. If you want to hydrate your body, then nothing beats good old plain water! If you prefer hot drinks, tea is a great choice whatever the weather is. So make the most of all the different varieties available. You can boil the water in an electric kettle before adding it to your tea for faster results! At lunchtime, a cup of green tea prepared in a stainless steel kettle goes well with any dish. Try Darjeeling, Gunpowder and Sencha green teas, and experiment with all kinds of different flavors to find the perfect one that goes perfectly with your meal!

You shouldn’t wait to feel thirsty, because thirst is a sign that your body is already dehydrated. Instead, you need to keep drinking all day every day. For example, have a small bottle of water on hand wherever you go, or a thermos flask if you prefer herbal tea. If you do find yourself craving a sweet or fizzy drink, choose your favorite among fruit or vegetable juice recipes that are homemade if possible, and treat yourself to a dose of healthy vitamins at the same time!
