Healthy Eating Rules #2: Divide Nutritional Intake In A Healthy Way

June 13, 2018

For a balanced diet and lifestyle, you have to make sure you divide your nutritional intake into 50 to 55% carbs, 15% proteins and 30 to 35% fats. But if you find it hard to get it right, all you need to do is follow a few basic rules, ensuring you that you’re getting a little bit of everything for the perfect balanced lifestyle.

Eat Healthy Food All Day Long!

Don’t go reaching for the chocolate biscuits on the pretext that you need some carbs! It’s the slow-burning carbs that you need – brown rice, quinoa, whole-wheat bread and so on. Make these a part of every meal, to ensure a constant energy intake. Similarly, avoid the fast-burning carbs contained in soft drinks, chocolate bars and other sweet foods. Choose a piece of fruit instead such as an apple or some dates – especially if you’re a bit hungry around 11 am or mid-afternoon.

Even if you’re watching your figure, you need fats. Use olive oil, for example, to cook your meat and vegetables. You can even indulge in a plate of Real Crispy Chips if you have an Actifry low fat fryer , which uses a single spoonful of oil to produce an entire bowl of light and crispy fries!

And finally, don’t forget your proteins present in meats, eggs or fish, or in the form of vegetables proteins such as lentils, chickpeas, spinach and broccoli. Eating protein prevents you from feeling hungry and from grabbing the first cake or bag of chips that you see!
